"I don't measure a man's success by how high he climbs but how high he bounces when he hits bottom."

fools

we were such a load of trouble, making a right mess
i can't even remember what we did that night, bless.
i broke my nose, you broke your wrist, but they could hardly see
i told those punks to shut up about my sister, and they said free country

cuz we were young and we were fools
us kids were breakin all the rules
we loved to have fun tiiiimes, i know
and we were too good to get caught
i miss those nights, i miss our old lives
a lot

that night i got to take you out, it left the greatest mark
we didn't want to go home yet, so we snuck into the park
we sat there talkin on the swings, and making life our own
it's best that we still do it now, so we are not... ALONE!!

cuz we were young and we were fools
us kids were breakin all the rules
we loved to have fun tiiiimes, i know
and we were too good to get caught
i miss those nights, i miss our old lives
a lot

the many days that we slept in, the countless times that we have sinned
the problems we caused, the times i took it on the chin.

cuz we were young and we were fools
us kids were breakin all the rules
we loved to have fun tiiiimes, i know
and we were too good to get caught
i miss those nights, i miss our old lives
a lot

cuz we were young and we were fools
us kids were breakin all the rules
we loved to have fun tiiiimes, i know
and we were too good to get caught
i miss those nights, i miss our old lives
a lot
